Ancient Women and Law: Ancient Babylon
James C. Thompson, M.Ed.
For all the hoopla over a new Iraq state's abiltiy to make laws and govern, I suggest that since they were the first of all ancient cultures to make laws ---I suspect they can manage. Ancient Iraqis were really quite progressive and attempted to protect women's rights, such as they were. It was more progressive than later Ancient Greek laws about women!
