On the long journey I have looked for you...
I looked for you in the first snowflake,
And I saw your rosey cheeks and mitten fingers
hold mine.
I looked for you in the spring sounds,
And I heard your favorite bird singing your
name.
I looked for you in the summer's sky,
And saw a rainbow of your memories, color
my soul.
I looked for you in baby's faces,
Cheeks round, and eyes of sparkling blue,
a cry from me to you.
I looked for you in the morning sun,
And your golden hair glistened as the dew.
I looked for you within the wind,
And you gentlely stroke my face, I savor
it like a child's quick kiss.
I looked for you in the folds of a yellow rose,
And felt the ruffles of your short life
circle around my heart.
I looked for you in the quiet night,
Hoping for a whisper that you were there.
And I looked and looked for you.
Are you sitting in God's lap, holding my
broken heart?
Another year, another tear, falls and gentlly reminds me that a mother's love is everywhere.

Night Whispers
Night Whispers,
I call your name.
Night Whispers,
A sea of sadness captures me.
Night Whispers,
I move about in search of you.
Night Whispers,
I pray that I find you.
Night Whispers,
I try to gather your spirit in a moonbeam.
Night Whispers,
Strain to hear your voice sing.
Night Whispers,
I try to touch your golden hair, but its not there.
Night Whispers,
I feel for your goodness and your joy.
Night Whispers,
Another night of a tear filled pillow.
Night Whispers,
I wonder how you would look this 19th birthday...
Night whispers,
And I pray.

Happy Birthday Molly
As I light your eighteenth birthday candle,
I see your face, within the cnadlelight.
Look closer and I see, your corn blue eyes,
blue as summer's twinkling sky.
I look and see, your hair golden gently flowing,
Like the yellow ribbons that billow in the summer's breeze.
I look and see, your "Tigger" spirit abound.
And our hands touch across time and space.
I look and see memories...
A baby girl held by her big and loving sister.
I look and see a soccer ball fly,
between the trees and her brother scores.
I look and see, a "daddy's girl" upon his lap,
pleading for one more trip to the mall.
I look and see me, with arms outstretched,
To the daughter I miss.
I look and see that you are such a part of me.
I ache as if my limbs have been severed. I am not whole.
I look and see, the birthday candles glow.
I whisper that special wish.
That you come home to us.
Who love you so.

And Molly did come home in spirit. Her body was finally
found in May 2003. We print these in her memory.
